David Haye believes Dereck Chisora is coming into their heavyweight fight out of condition - and will be punished for it on Saturday.

The two British fighters weighed in on Thursday ahead of the weekend's grudge match at Upton Park, with Haye (15st 1lb) giving up over two stone in weight advantage to Chisora (17st 6).

Haye, the former WBA heavyweight champion, is unconcerned by the sizeable difference, however - insisting he is arriving for the fight in peak condition, whereas his opponent has cut corners.

Haye reckons Chisora looks in good condition - for an "ordinary man in the street".

"I'm pleased to be coming in at 15t because some of my best performances have been when I'm lean and light," Haye said. "He always looks flabby - that's just how he is.

"Next to the ordinary man in the street he wouldn't look too bad, but I don't cut any corners and I don't spend my time in fast food joints like him. He's a fat ****."

Haye seemed to have the edge in terms of support as both men completed their pre-fight duties at a cinema in Leicester Square on Thursday, fuelling his belief that he is simply more likeable than Chisora.

"I think I won the popularity contest there, but not many people in their right mind would support someone like Chisora," he added. "What is there to like about a boxer who bites opponents, slaps them at a weigh-in or spits at them in the ring?

"Maybe an idiot like Chisora would, or the bunch of morons in his little gang."

Meanwhile, the fight was briefly thrown into some controversy after Chisora hit out at Haye for refusing to accept a 12-round bout. The contest will instead be over the shorter distance of 10 rounds.

"You changed the distance, you are scared," Chisora told his opponent, adding: "Haye was struggling to look me in the eye and kept trying to laugh and look out at the fans."

Haye was blunt in his response, however, saying, "Dereck needs to find somebody to read him his contract because this fight has always been over 10 rounds."
