David Price set to fight Audley Harrison in October
David Price is set to put on an all-British heavyweight title fight against Audley Harrison at Liverpool's Echo Arena on October 13.
Price will defend his British and Commonwealth titles for the first time against Harrison, it was confirmed on Monday.
In a meeting of two former Olympians, Beijing bronze medallist Price will stand toe-to-toe with Sydney gold medallist Harrison. The 40-year-old Harrison is also a former European heavyweight champion.
Price will undoubtedly enter the bout as a lop-sided favourite, having delivered a brutal fourth-round knockout of Sam Sexton in his last outing. By contrast, Harrison is coming off a win over Ali Adams.
"Audley was an inspiration to me when I was younger, someone our amateur squad always looked up to," said Price. "He called me before Beijing to offer advice, which I'm grateful for, but he's still getting flattened."
On the undercard of the fight, Kevin Satchell is expected to fight Chris Edwards for the British flyweight title.
