Manny Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum would relish the opportunity to negotiate with 50 Cent, co-founder of the newly-formed TMT Promotions.

It is not known whether Floyd Mayweather Jr, who is released from prison on August 3, will be promoted by TMT, which he will help to run when his sentence ends, or whether he will stick with Golden Boy, which has overseen his recent contests.

However, Arum is hoping that Mayweather does opt to side with TMT, so that the Mayweather v Pacquiao super-fight can move closer. All previous talks have broken down, most recently because of a dispute over how to distribute pay-per-view cash.

"I would think that if [50 Cent] promoted Floyd, then it would make a match-up between Pacquiao and Mayweather that much easier," Arum said to ringtv.com.

"You would have somebody that is a friend and a mentor that he can rely on and they would protect his interests in any kind of promotion, and I would be on the side of Pacquiao."
