Timothy Bradley has hit out at Manny Pacquiao , labelling the Filipino a chicken for taking a fight with Juan Manuel Marquez as opposed to a rematch with him.

Bradley inflicted the first defeat on Pacquiao since 2005 when claiming a hugely controversial points success in their welterweight title fight in February. The decision was roundly booed, as many felt Pacquiao was an easy winner of the bout.

There have been calls for a rematch, which was a recommendation of the WBO following their review of the fight, but Pacquiao is on the brink of signing a deal to fight Marquez. If confirmed, which seems likely, it will be the fourth meeting between Pacquiao and Marquez and is sure to draw in great TV numbers given the quality of their previous fights.

Bradley, though, is unhappy about the turn of events as he feels there is unfinished business between the pair and believes the Filipino is ducking him.

"What the public needs to know is Pacquiao, their No. 1 dude, doesn't care about his loss," Bradley told The Desert Sun. "You need to redeem yourself because Tim Bradley beat you. You need to come back and redeem that loss.

"He didn't want any part of me. Marquez is an easier fight. He knows that a fight with me and two good legs is going to be hell. I can't believe it. Any champion who lost his belt, you would want to redeem yourself.

"In my eyes, chicken (expletive), chicken, chicken, chicken."
