Khan hunting down Garcia rematch

Amir Khan claims he would only step into the ring against Ricky Hatton if a title was on the line, but his focus is on beating Carlos Molina and securing a rematch with Danny Garcia.

Khan suffered a stunning knockout defeat to Garcia, which came on the back of a loss to Lamont Peterson, and left many questioning whether he could rebuild his career.

The Olympic silver medalist swept the decks by ditching coach Freddie Roach and starting work with Virgil Hunter. The Hunter deal is initially for the Molina fight only but that could change if the pair gel.

With Hatton making a comeback, there has been talk about the pair meeting in the ring. It's a fight Khan can see happening but he realises the importance of beating Molina if he is to achieve his goal of exacting revenge on Garcia.

"I don't want to lose this one," Khan said. "I don't want to be in that position where, if I lose, I am thinking, 'Where do I go from here?'

"The pressure is on as I need to win this fight. It's make or break. That's why I have changed everything 100 per cent, this is all on the line. I have to make sure I don't make any mistakes.

"I want to get another crack at Danny Garcia to get my titles back. If I get that, then I'll move up to 147lb."

Looking towards Hatton, Khan said: "Maybe I'll fight Hatton, if he is a world champion. I am going to see how I feel at this weight.

"The Ricky fight is one people keep talking about. I feel it can happen. Boxing is a business and I would rather do it if he was a world champion.

"It would be huge. Me and Ricky are good friends. Sometimes it is hard to be in the ring with a good friend. I have been to his house and vice versa, that's how close we are.

"But it could happen. Let's see how Ricky fights in his next fight. I want him to be on a good winning streak and I need to be on one as well."
