Haye confident on Vitali, won't meet Price or Fury

David Haye has ruled out the prospect of meeting British heavyweights Tyson Fury and David Price, insisting he is only interested in wrestling the WBC crown from Vitali Klitschko.

Haye is adamant he will only consider boxing again if he can entice Klitschko into the ring - but doubts remain as to whether the Ukrainian will continue his career into next year. He has political interests and rumours have persisted that he will hang up his gloves in order to focus on those.

While he ponders his future, Fury and Price are building their reputations, with the latter demolishing Audley Harrison, who Haye needed three rounds to beat in November 2010, inside 90 seconds last Saturday. But Haye only has eyes for a bout with Klitschko.

"In my opinion next year he will want to fight again at some stage and he will want a big fight," Haye said to Sky Sports News. "I'm the biggest fight out there and he knows that, he's not stupid.

"The WBC are happy for me to fight him, they know I'm the only guy out there to challenge him. What's fighting more guys like Manuel Charr [Vitali's most recent opponent] going to do for him? He's never had a superfight.

"The biggest fight he had was at two weeks notice against Lennox Lewis and he lost that. Other than that he's never had any big fights, only fighting opponents that people know he could never lose to.

"I really smash my body up to make a fight easy and I wouldn't want to do that for anything other than the richest prize in sport. For the WBC title I will punish myself and do what I have to do. Other than that I can't be bothered."
