Carl Froch weighed in just below the 168lb limit for his world super-middleweight title defence with Yusaf Mack.

The fight is viewed as a stepping stone to a long-term rematch with Andre Ward, but Froch has spoken positively about being fully focused on Saturday's bout.

He took to Twitter on Friday morning to claim he was right on the limit and his statement proved correct.

It was a confident show from Froch, unlike Mack who had to take to the scales twice to make the weight. He was four ounces over at the first time of asking, but returned minus his shorts to make the weight.

And speaking to Sky Sports News following the weigh-in, Froch said: "I woke up this morning right on the weight and I was pleased about that as I was able to have a small bit of fruit and a few drinks.

"I am feeling good, confident, strong. Everything has gone well, there's no need for any needle or animosity. He has not said much but is coming here to do a job. It is a title shot for him and he will come and give it a go.

"I am on the money and I am ready. As far as I am concerned, he does not have a chance."
