Kell Brook has insisted he has no fears of facing Devon Alexander in America, after striking a deal to take on the IBF welterweight champion in January.

Brook has been steadily brought through the ranks, but has been pleading with his manager for some time to secure him a title shot.

That will now happen in America on January 19, after Eddie Hearn struck a deal for Brook to take on Alexander.

Brook would have preferred to take on Alexander in his native Sheffield, but has no fears of bidding for glory in Las Vegas.

"I've dreamt of this since I was 9; nothing's going to stop me," Brook said. "Fighting for the belt in America is going to make it a lot more special.

"I could have had it my own way, in Sheffield for example, but to be honest I don't think he would have come over here. I've agreed to fight him in his own country. It's all going to be nice fun and games for me when I get in there and do what I'm going to do - take him out."
