Juan Manual Marquez conceded four pounds in weight to Manny Pacquiao as they weighed in for their welterweight clash in Las Vegas on Saturday.

The MGM Grand Garden arena was full to bursting for the weigh-in, as 5000 people crammed in. The majority were supporters of Mexican star Marquez and any shouts of 'Manny, Manny' were swiftly drowned out by roars of 'Marquez, Marquez'.

Pacquiao tipped the scales right on the 147lb limit, with Marquez weighing-in at 143lb.

"It is going to be a war," Marquez said. "I want to give this weight as I am looking for speed. Maybe he is looking for strength, but I am working for speed and intelligence."

Pacquiao spoke to ESPN after the weigh-in and again called for Marquez to stand and fight.

"I am happy and excited," Pacquiao said. "I am hoping for him to fight toe-to-toe with me. I want him to be aggressive and not back off."
