Khan not interested in Brook

Amir Khan says that an all-British fight with Kell Brook is far from his mind at the moment and will remain so even after Saturday's encounter with Carlos Molina.

Khan's fight in Los Angeles could have a telling influence on the rest of his career, especially if he loses, but the Bolton fighter is confident he can return to form after back-to-back defeats.

With new trainer Virgil Hunter in his corner, Khan has re-found his confidence and has already talked about his plans for 2013 - which do not involve Brook.

Brook himself is in training to fight another American Devon Alexander in January, although the date is likely to be put back several weeks after the Englishman rolled his ankle.

Should both boxers come through their fights with wins, a long-talked about British face-off between Brook and Khan could be taken more seriously with the latter having to step up to welterweight to compete.

However Khan insists he only has eyes for the division of light-welterweight and for revenge on Danny Garcia after the Philadelphian won by technical knockout in July.

"Maybe I could fight Brook in the future, but I'd have to move up to 147lbs and I'm still making this weight easy," Khan told the Daily Mirror.

"I'm not a 147 fighter. I want to clean up this division [light-welterweight] and beat Garcia first before I move up."
