Oscar De La Hoya believes undefeated WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr will taste defeat for the first time when he meets Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero in May.

Mayweather will put his 46-0 unbeaten record on the line against Guerrero at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 4th and De La Hoya feels a huge upset could be on the cards.

The 36-year-old Mayweather Jr faces Guerrero at the same venue he defeated De La Hoya back in 2007 - but De La Hoya maintains Guerrero will rise to the occasion, believing Mayweather's age may finally catch up with him.

"It's going to be a tough fight. It's going to be a physical fight, which Robert is going to make," De La Hoya told WhamBamSe.

"And we have to wait and see if Father Time is maybe catching up [with Mayweather]…who knows? I'm going to go with Guerrero by decision," De La Hoya added.
