Haroon Khan: I can better my brother

Haroon Khan has announced his intention to become a future world champion, believing he can go one better than his older brother Amir Khan in the process.
Super-flyweight Haroon, who will make his professional debut on the undercard of Amir's bout with Julio Diaz in Sheffield on April 27, is planning a rise to the top and insists he has what it takes to out-do his brother.
"I look at Amir as an idol more than a brother, I've always said I want to achieve one better than Amir," Khan told the BBC Sport website.
"I'm not going to rush to become a world champion, but hopefully I'll be better than Amir."
Khan won a bronze medal for Pakistan at the 2010 Commonwealth Games after being overlooked by Team GB for Andrew Selby, who Khan later defeated in the quarter-finals.
The super-flyweight had considered giving up the sport, but later signed with brother Amir's promotional company 'Super Fight Promotions' following his decision to turn professional.
"I thought I had to turn pro, I spoke to Amir about it and we both agreed on turning professional. I finally broke the news to my mum, she wasn't happy but I'm sure she'll get over it and she'll be proud of us," Khan said.
"I think I've got the talent there, I just need training real good, extra hard and before you know it I'll be British champ, English champ and hopefully world champ soon."
Khan's trainer Oliver Harrison, who guided Amir to the professional ranks, believes Haroon can emulate his brother in becoming a world champion.
Harrison said: "He's got the right attitude, he's got the right mindset and he's got all the qualities intact."
