Fury promises Klitschko knockout

After picking himself up off the canvas to beat Steve Cunningham, Tyson Fury reiterated his desire to take on world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury is seen as one of the few credible pretenders to the crown of Klitschko and his brother Vitali and he proved his durability with victory over Cunningham in New York.

It was a far from impressive performance from the Brit, but he fought back to preserve his unbeaten record and he is a step closer to a shot at the younger of the Klitschko brothers.

The IBF eliminator win means only Kubrat Pulev stands between Fury and a shot at Klitschko and he is prepared to take on the Bulgarian on his way to the champion if necessary.

"I have arrived," Fury said of his win over Cunningham on his US debut. "I can guarantee one thing and that is excitement.

"When Wladimir Klitschko fights me I will knock him out just like I knocked Steve Cunningham out.

"If I have to go through Pulev first then fine - I will knock him out too.

"I want him next and I am going to do to him what has been done to him three times before. I'll knock him out."
