Anthony Ogogo made a blistering start to his professional career as he stopped Kieron Gray in impressive fashion in the second round.

Ogogo has turned professional on the crest of a wave having taken a bronze medal at last year's London Olympic Games.

He has spoken positively about taking his career all the way to the top and first evidence was positive as he proved much too good for Gray.

While fellow pro debutant Haroon Khan was a shade ragged, Ogogo wa silky smooth. His punches were fast, sharp and accurate and he was able to stick and move with confidence.

The movement and combinations of the first round were a mere taster for what was to follow in the second, a devastating right hand.

Gray, who had been in his shell for much of the contest, attempted to unload a shot of his own. But he was beaten to the button in stunning style by Ogogo who sent a swinging right on to the chin of Gray who crumpled to the floor.

The referee gave Gray every chance to continue, but his legs were wobbly and the fight was waved off - allowing Ogogo to celebrate with the big crowd at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.
