Amir Khan is not ruling out more fights on home soil, having admitted he was lifted to victory by the vocal support he received against Julio Diaz at the weekend.

Khan had to haul himself off the canvas in the fourth round and also had to ride out some serious pressure late in the fight to claim the win.

It was a performance that kept Khan on course for a future world title shot, which may well take place in America given his profile is high on the other side of the Atlantic.

Khan said prior to his win over Diaz that it could be his final fight in the UK, but the atmosphere at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield has left him craving more.

"I fight whoever they put in front of me," Khan told Sky Sports News. "I go to their home country and fight them there, sometimes their own state. Not many fighters would do that.

"If I could get a fighter to come over here and fight me in the UK in front of my home fans I would love that. There is nowhere better to fight than in England in front of your home fans who are loyal and support you.

"When the fight did get tough they supported me and pushed me. You sometimes need that extra bit of help to give you the edge.

"I will wait and see what we come up with. If I can try and get a fight back in the UK I would love that."
