Haye slams risk-free Wladimir, Vitali 'has more balls'

Wladimir Klitschko's sixth-round stoppage of Francesco Pianeta did little to impress David Haye, who claimed in his post-fight analysis on ESPN that the Ukrainian's brother Vitali "has more balls".

Haye was present to give his expert verdict on Klitschko as he strolled past Pianeta to become the first man to beat the Italian. A three-punch combination in the sixth round saw the fight waved off.

In the eyes of the Brit, Klitschko refuses to finish fights in the early rounds to earn more from his sponsors, and Haye claimed the champion could have ended Pianeta in the first round had he been willing to take a chance.

"A fight like that, it reminded me of a Mexican pinata. You hang it up and smack the hell out of it," Haye told ESPN.

"He [Klitschko] made sure there were six or seven ad breaks to maximise his sponsorship revenue. He was punch perfect, [but] he could have got rid of that guy in the first round. There was a 5% risk he would get caught. He would rather avoid that 5% risk.

"It will hurt his legacy. He won't be remembered like Mike Tyson. He doesn't excite people."

Haye has fought and lost to Klitschko in the past, and is now struggling to get a rematch with the 37-year-old. It all comes down to a low-risk business model for making money, according to the Brit.

"He can pick whoever he wants and he'll get paid the same. He picks up €5 million and they roll on. It's a great business model. Klitschko could have a BBQ in the ring and he'd get 20,000 come to watch him.

"If he fights me, he makes £15 million. The other option is he fights three of these Pianeta guys and gets £5m per time. It doesn't make business sense to fight me because they know if I land, I knock him out."

Haye was willing to accept he blew his big chance when dropping a one-sided decision to Klitschko, but now he is targeting brother Vitali. 'The Hayemaker' takes on Manuel Charr later this year, and claims Vitali is willing to have a scrap with him down the line.

"Wladimir beat me fair and square and says he doesn't want to fight me again," Haye explained. "He's given others rematches, Tony Thompson got a rematch.

"Vitali has said he wants to fight me. Vitali has got more balls than Wladimir. It'll be a more entertaining fight."
