Kell Brook will return from an injury layoff on July 13 to face Carson Jones in a rematch, a little over a year after the pair put on a thriller in Sheffield.

Brook has been coping with the disappointment of missing out on a world title clash, after a recent foot injury forced the postponement of his showdown with Devon Alexander for a third time. Alexander has now turned his attentions to Lee Purdy.

Instead, Brook will return to the ring against a familiar foe in Jones, who was beaten by the Brit via majority decision on July 7, 2012.

On that occasion, Brook showed himself to be the speedier, more technical boxer in the early rounds before Jones dragged him deep late on. The rematch will be highly anticipated.

Also on the July 13 card at Craven Park in Hull, Olympic gold medallist Luke Campbell will make his professional debut. Campbell is expected to top the bill, although his opponent is yet to be named.

"This is going to be a special night for Hull and a massive night for British boxing," promoter Eddie Hearn said. "The whole city will have a chance to witness the start of Luke's professional journey whilst also watching a huge card.

"Kell Brook returns after a frustrating period, re-matching Carson Jones following their epic battle last July."
