Hearn: Froch is Ward's only option

Promoter Eddie Hearn claims Andre Ward has been backed into a corner and has no option but to fight Carl Froch in the UK.

Ward has a victory over Froch to his name, when outclassing the Brit in December 2011, but the Cobra has since bounced back and victory over Mikkel Kessler at the weekend - with Ward at ringside - added the WBA super-middleweight belt to his IBF strap.

With Froch having two belts, Hearn feels his charge is now in a dominant position and is ready to secure a rematch with Ward - on his and Froch's terms.

"Andre has absolutely no options," Hearn told Sky Sports. "Tell me another fight out there for him at super middleweight?

"That's why he was at the 02 - he wants the fight with Froch. That's a massive fight. We're sitting here with two belts and Carl has just catapulted himself to huge new levels in terms of sporting prestige in Great Britain, so we'll relax and take our time.

"If Andre wants the fight, then it will have to be where we want it."
