Tony Bellew is relishing the prospect of tackling Adonis Stevenson following the latter's shock win over Chad Dawson on Saturday.

Bellew's recent win over Isaac Chilemba put him in the position of the mandatory challenger to the winner of the WBC light-heavyweight scrap between Dawson and Stevenson.

Dawson was the hot favourite, but he was felled by a stunning left hook from Stevenson. Bellew was in the TV studio to watch the fight and feels Stevenson's style is tailor made for him and he will travel over to the new champion's native Canada to make the fight happen.

"He is wild and gives you opportunities to counter," Bellew told Sky Sports. "I won't have to go looking for him, but he won't have to go looking for me. I will be there, I will meet him and won't run.

"I have got myself in position to fight for that belt and it is a dream of mine.

"I will go to his backyard, I will go there and I have no problem. It does not matter where the fight happens, his backyard, England, Liverpool.

"I am so excited by the prospect of fighting Adonis Stevenson."
