Thompson: I'll show Price I'm a bad motherf****r

Furious American heavyweight Tony Thompson says he will prove himself as a "bad motherf****r" when he takes on David Price in their rematch at Liverpool's Echo Arena on July 6.

Veteran Thompson sensationally stunned Price during the pair's first bout in February, knocking out the Brit in the second round and marking the Liverpudlian's card with his first professional loss.

However, the 41-year-old has lambasted his critics ahead of the summer showdown, insisting he is sick of being dismissed and will once again prove otherwise.

"People who think I was lucky in our first fight know s**t about fighting," Thompson said. "People want to make excuses about why people aren't successful.

"People who tell David [Price] that aren't doing him any favours because I am a bad motherf****r and I am going to prove that.

"Anybody can get knocked out in the heavyweight division and I don't want to say David will be heavily cautious. But, I can see him changing the game plan where he is going to box a little more, and use his God given abilities.

"He may count on my age factor and thinking I am still a little show and out of shape. We have trained to walk straight to David and beat him up. We've also trained where he will be aggressive and we can capitalise on his mistakes."

Thompson has suffered only three defeats in 37 fights, losing to Eric Kirkland early in his career before falling twice to heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko - something which 'The Tiger' is adamant his critics brush over.

"I have lost three times - twice against Wladimir Klitschko and I think people forget that. That pi***s me off. Who has beaten Wladimir in ten years? Nobody. Who has test Wladimir the most in ten years? Me."
