Tyson Fury is a bit of a fool - David Haye

David Haye says his fight with Tyson Fury is only going to be heading in his direction, and has branded his opponent "a bit of a fool".

The pair of heavyweights clash on September 28 in Manchester, and Haye is set to take to the ring for the first time since overcoming Dereck Chisora in July 2012.

Fury remains unbeaten in 21 career fights, and defeated Steve Cunningham on his United States debut in April. Fury is using Cunningham as a sparring partner in preparation for the tussle against Haye, seeing the last boxer he beat possessing similar attributes to Haye.

Haye though, believes he cannot be compared to Cunningham.

"Fury seems to think just because two people are of a similar size that they are the same type of fighter, but he's way wrong there," Haye is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.

"Fury needs confidence. He needs to make those comparisons. It's false confidence, but it is confidence all the same."

And Haye sees the fight being a comfortable victory for him. "The thing about Tyson Fury is that he is a bit of a fool, so it's no real surprise that he'll probably make those comparisons," he said.

"Unlike Cunningham, if I hit Tyson he's not only going down, he's going down for the count. There is only one way this fight is going to go."
