Anthony Joshua insists he will do everything in his power to repay Eddie Hearn's faith in him - and has vowed to win every fight the promoter puts him in for.

Joshua signed professional terms with Hearn's Matchroom stable in July and makes his debut at London's O2 Arena on October 5. The 23-year-old has not fought since winning super-heavyweight gold in his hometown during the 2012 Olympics.

Despite an opponent having not yet been named for his professional bow, Joshua stated he is perfecting the basics in order to show Hearn and co he is more than ready for the step up .

"Eddie Hearn's doing his job to promote me, guide me and to make me a world champion," Joshua said. "I'm going to do my job and stay focused and disciplined and win all my fights.

"I'm really happy with what's going on. I'm having more one-on-one time in the gym and doing longer rounds. I'm starting with a six rounder next month and I am noticing the changes in training already.

"Let's get October 5 out of the way and then we'll be on the road. The opponent will be announced in the next two weeks and it will all be a new experience for me.

"At the moment we're just perfecting the basics and regardless of the opponent we'll be prepared for anything."
