Hughie Fury and Chris Eubank Jr both claimed victories against Shane McPhilbin and Alexey Ribchev respectively to continue their impressive starts to their careers.

Fury, cousin of unbeaten heavyweight Tyson, benefited from his opponent McPhilbin retiring hurt after three minutes with a shoulder problem, while Eubank Jr defeated Bulgarian Ribchev in the third round.

Hughie Fury adds to his eight wins in 2013 after getting past the former British cruiserweight champion.

Eubank Jr on the other hand was taken to the third round after coming through two difficult rounds, with Ribchev delivering plenty of heavy blows.

However, Eubank Jr floored his opponent, before the referee called an end to the fight after allowing the fight to commence.

"The guy was tough, he's had 23 fights and no-one had every stopped him before so that speaks for itself," Eubank Jr said after extending his unbeaten run.

"I thought the ref jumped in quickly but he was in trouble. I'm still a technical novice and I've got a lot more to learn and a lot more work to do in the gym."

Kid Galahad meanwhile overcame James Dickens with a tenth round TKO to take the vacant British super-bantamweight title, sending his opponent to the canvas after a tight contest which could have gone either way.

"I knew he was going to come out fast and he charged around like a bull, but when I found my distance... boom," Galahad told Channel 5 after the fight.

Leon McKenzie collected a second win of his new career after beating Robert Studzinski.

McKenzie, nephew of three-time world champion Duke McKenzie and son of British and European champion Clinton, is two wins from two after the former Norwich City striker retired from football after swapping the pitch for the boxing ring.
