Ricky Burns has been given the all-clear to take part in light training following the jaw injury he suffered in the draw against Raymundo Beltran.

The WBO lightweight champion controversially retained his belt after the third judge scored the bout with Beltran 114-each. Burns fell to the floor in the eighth round and many believed Beltran had done enough to secure the win.

Burns suffered a blow to his jaw in the fight, and underwent surgery the following day, with promoter Eddie Hearn suggesting his career could be over.

However, Burns' manager said he will fight again, and now the 30-year-old has posted on Twitter he is ready to train.
