Fowler and Selby settle for World Amateur bronze
Great Britain's Anthony Fowler and Andrew Selby both had to settle for a bronze medal at the World Amateur Championships in Kazakhstan - albeit in different circumstances.
Middleweight Fowler had to pull out of his semi-final with Zhanibek Alimkhanuly in Almaty on Friday after suffering a heavily bruised right hand in his quarter-final win over Stefan Hartel.
Victory against Hartel had guaranteed Fowler at least a bronze medal at the Championships.
"I am absolutely gutted, I felt I could have gone all the way," Fowler said.
Meanwhile, flyweight Selby suffered a split decision defeat to Uzbekistan's Jasurbek Latipov in his semi-final, which prompted Olympic champion Luke Campbell to express his disappointment at the result on Twitter.
Oh no way @andrewselby1 won that fight.. Gutted for you mate. #robbed in my eyes.

Selby secured the bronze medal with his win over home favourite Ilyas Suleimenov on Wednesday.
