Tyson: I won't challenge UK ban

Former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson says he will not contest him being banned from entering the United Kingdom.

Tyson was due to appear in London in December to promote his new autobiography Undisputed Truth, but has had to re-route to Paris after learning he was not allowed to stay in the UK due to previous convictions.

Recent changes to the immigration laws in the UK indicate that any person sentenced to more than four years in prison are not allowed to enter the country. Tyson was convicted of rape 21 years ago and served three years of his six-year sentence.

However, the 47-year-old admitted he would not challenge his eligibility, stating he will not visit the United Kingdom again.

"If that's what they [the UK] want, I'm not going to fight their laws," Tyson told BBC Sport. "I'm not going to fight no laws. If that's what they established, then I won't go there anymore."
