Price splits from Booth after two months
Former British and Commonwealth champion David Price has split from trainer Adam Booth after just two months of working together.
Price will now join up with Tommy Brooks, who has worked with Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield as well as both Klitschko brothers.
The Liverpool heavyweight teamed up with Booth in October after splitting from his long-time trainer Franny Smith, and had been training in London four days a week. However Price will now return to his home city, with Brooks to fly in from New Jersey for training camps.
Price is looking to bounce back from successive stoppage defeats to Tony Thompson earlier this year, and Brooks insists his new fighter can become a world champion.
"I have been waiting for the phone to ring to work with a fighter who can make it to the top," Brooks said, as reported by Sky Sports.
"The heavyweight division is becoming very exciting again with a fresh young crop of talent coming through and Britain has some of the best prospects, but David has all the attributes needed to dominate the division."
A virus forced Price, 30, to pull out of a comeback bout against Evgeny Orlov, of Russia, in Germany this month, but that has been rearranged for January 25 in Stuttgart, it was announced this morning.
