Nathan Cleverly has postponed his debut as a cruiserweight for a third time, according to a report on Wales Online.

Cleverly was due to fight on March 1 against an unnamed opponent at Livepool's Aintree racecourse, but is reportedly not ready to step back into the ring.

The 26-year-old was originally scheduled to make his cruiserweight debut against Daniel Ammann in November, but pulled out with a back injury.

It was then announced Cleverly would fight Illunga Makubu in Monaco on February 1 before promoter Frank Warren confirmed the second postponement in a January 8 press conference.

Cleverly revealed he would move up the weights shortly after losing his WBO light-heavyweight title to Sergey Kovalev in August last year.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has retracted recent comments in which he suggested he had been "frozen out" by the WBC for a shot at the vacant heavyweight title belt.
