Scott Quigg has a new opponent for his April 19 WBA super bantamweight title defence - Tshifhiwa Munyai of South Africa.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn announced on Friday that Munyai has replaced interim titleholder Nehomar Cermeno (22-5-1, 13 KOs), 34, of Venezuela, who dropped out because of visa issues, to top the card that will take place at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester.

"It's a great fight for Scott and in my opinion a much tougher test than Cermeno," Hearn said. "Munyai is no stranger to these shores and is in impressive form coming into the fight.

"Scott is in fantastic shape and ready to make a big statement as we eye unification fights this summer."

Quigg (27-0-2, 20 KOs), 25, of England, will be making the third defence of his 122-pound belt. He is coming off a second-round knockout of Diego Silva on November 23, also at the Phones 4u Arena.

Munyai (24-2-1, 12 KOs), 28, nicknamed 'The Atomic Spider', has enjoyed success fighting in England, where he is 5-1. He won the Commonwealth bantamweight title in London by ninth-round knockout of Martin Power in 2006 to start a streak of five consecutive fights and victories in England, including a fourth-round knockout of Power in 2007 rematch.
