- Amir Khan v Luis Collazo
Defeat will end Khan's Mayweather chances
Amir Khan has been warned that defeat to Luis Collazo on Saturday night will end his hopes of a lucrative showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Khan was left frustrated after Mayweather chose to fight Marcos Maidana instead, despite the Brit having topped a fans' poll set up by the unbeaten American.
Khan promised to deliver a showcase performance against Collazo on the Mayweather/Maidana undercard in Las Vegas. The Bolton fighter been reassured he is still on Mayweather's hit list but, should he suffer a fourth career loss, then his chances of a dream bout will be significantly damaged.
When asked if a Khan defeat would squander a bout with Mayweather, CEO of Mayweather Promotions Leonard Ellerbe said: "What do you think? Yes? Yes.
"Amir Khan is a terrific young fighter and winning solves everything. Hopefully for him, he wins OK and can be impressive."
Mayweather is set to earn a guaranteed purse of £19 million ($32m) for his world title unification bout with Maidana.
