Haye is '100% coming back'

Retired former world heavyweight champion David Haye is preparing to make a comeback to the ring, according to his trainer Adam Booth.

Haye, who has not fought since he beat Dereck Chisora in July 2012, was forced to pull out of fights with Tyson Fury in September last year and the re-scheduled bout in February after rupturing tendons in his shoulder.

He was told by doctors not to fight again but, according to Booth, the 'Hayemaker' has now been given the all-clear to return to competitive action.

"It's true, 100% true, David is coming back," Booth told the Daily Express.

"We will not be making any big announcement but David has been given the all clear by his medical people and he wants to fight again.

"We plan to get back in the ring before the end of the year and preferably by October.

"David has started training and there is no need to keep this a secret any longer. He has been trying to recuperate for five and a half months and only now has he been given the all clear to fight again."

Haye is expected to target the winner of July's showdown between Fury and Chisora for his comeback fight.
