Froch 'hanging on' for Vegas fight

Carl Froch is desperate to follow in the footsteps of his heroes and fight in Las Vegas, despite speculation that his next bout will be against James DeGale in London.
Froch, the IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion, has previously admitted he may retire if a Las Vegas fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. did not materialise.
Froch, 37, now says he has held lengthy talks with coach Rob McCracken and promoter Eddie Hearn about boxing in America.
"I'm trying to hang in for Las Vegas," Froch told the BBC. "It's the fight capital of the world and many of my heroes have boxed there. I have not ever been there to fight, but it would tick a massive box in my wonderful career.
"And if it's not then Nottingham Forest's City Ground would be the next best thing because Nottingham is my home and I am a proud Nottingham man."
However, Froch - who defeated fellow Briton George Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium in May - said the venue of his next fight would not the decisive factor in preventing him from retiring.
"I have one - maximum two - fights left in me, but it's got to be right and motivate me," Froch said. "I need to be fully charged and motivated to get the best out of me - which is what I showed in the last fight against George Groves at Wembley."
