Froch, 37, won the first fight via a controversial ninth round stoppage before a stunning knockout in the eighth round ended their second fight in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley.
It is the fourth time Froch has picked up the award in total, more than any other boxer since 1984.
Froch has yet to name his next opponent, with British rival James DeGale at the O2 Arena in London on January 31 a possibility, or another option being a third encounter with Dane Mikkel Kessler. Froch is also keen on fighting in Las Vegas before he retires.
Russian Sergey Kovalev was named Overseas Boxer of the Year for his fourth round stoppage of Welshman Nathan Cleverly in August 2013.
