Scott Quigg has revealed he wants Carl Frampton to be his next opponent, after the Brit successfully defended his WBA super-bantamweight title for the fifth time against Hidenori Othake.

The 26-year-old earned a wide points win over the Japanese champion on Saturday, extending his unbeaten record to 30 victories and two draws from 32 fights.

Frampton, the IBF super-bantamweight champion, announced in September he would be interested in a potential bout with Quigg while promoter Eddie Hearn said the fight could take place in Manchester next March.

And after appearing on the undercard between Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew, Quigg is hopeful of sparking another domestic rivalry if the opportunity to fight Frampton arises.

Speaking to the BBC, Quigg said: "Obviously the Carl Frampton fight is the fight everyone wants to see.

"It's the one I want. There are a lot of big fights out there and they're the fights I want to be in."
