Khan to wear £20,000 shorts in Vegas

Amir Khan will wear shorts worth over £20,000 when he takes on Devon Alexander in a welterweight showdown in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Khan, who continues to push for a super fight with Floyd Mayweather, will have 24-carat gold woven into the waistband of the white nappa leather trunks that also sport a crocodile trim. The shorts are reportedly the most expensive in boxing's history.

Despite the decadence of his briefs, Khan claims he lives a modest lifestyle, particularly when compared to the likes of Mayweather.
"Floyd has to earn big because he spends so much," Khan told the Daily Mail . "I don't splash out on things like he does. I don't need to make billions, just enough to keep my family and give my daughter an education. I'm not a big spender."
While Khan knows that a money-spinning clash against Mayweather could be on the cards if he wins, he is not taking the fight against Alexander for granted.
He said: "Winning this next fight could lead to a massive fight but I'm not looking past Alexander. I'm a range fighter, so I have plenty of weapons to hurt him, but I'm staying focused. I've made that mistake before with fights I should have gone in and won.
"I'm 28, still learning and still hungry. I just have to pace myself and take my time."
