Pacquiao blames contract delay on Mayweather
Manny Pacquiao has blamed Floyd Mayweather for the lengthy delay in announcing their eagerly-awaited super-fight.
The biggest fight in boxing has finally been confirmed for May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with Pacquiao claiming he had agreed to the bout long before Mayweather broke the news on Friday that the deal was done.
The Filipino has taken Instagram to post a picture of the contract signed by his team but apparently not by the Mayweather camp, claiming he was waiting for his opponent's signature.
"Finally he sign the contract so the fight is on," Pacquiao wrote. "This is what I'm talking about that I sign already before, im just explaining to the fans and to prove that im not lying, i have the fear of the Lord.
"So this is it! The fight is on fans you deserve it thank you. To God be all the Glory."
Mayweather had taken to social media on Friday to post a picture of the contract, now signed by him.

The announcement came more than two months after the undefeated American initially called out Pacquiao to face him.
A chance public meeting on January 28 at an NBA game in Miami, followed by a private meeting in a hotel suite the same night that lasted more than hour, fuelled speculation even further that the announcement of a fight between the pair was imminent.
The bout was finally sealed after a lengthy negotiating period, but Mayweather has hit back at Pacquiao by claiming he signed the contract as soon as it was given to him.
"Everyone was saying, 'Sign the contract! Sign the contract!'," Mayweather told Fight Hype.
"As soon as [Pacquiao's promoter] Bob Arum signed and as soon as Manny signed, Al Haymon brought the contract right to me and I signed the contract with no problem at all.
"I'm not here to say anything negative about Bob or say anything negative about Manny. That's not my job to do.
"I'm a boxer/entertainer and my job is to go out there and entertain and be the best that I can be. I'm just happy that we were able to make the fight happen. I can't wait."
