Anthony Joshua hints at future bout with Tony Thompson
Unbeaten heavyweight Anthony Joshua has hinted at a potential fight with American veteran Tony Thompson.
Joshua, who won super heavyweight gold at London 2012, has knocked out all 10 of his opponents so far on the professional circuit but had to pull out of a scheduled fight with American Kevin Johnson last January after he aggravated a back injury.
The 25-year-old is set to return to action on April 4 at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena, although an opponent for him has yet to be named.
However, Joshua took to Twitter on Wednesday to sound out a possible bout with 43-year-old Thompson:
I like the idea of boxing Tony Thompson in the near future. Be a great statement. I ALWAYS! Forward these offers across to my coach.

Thompson twice knocked out David Price in 2013, but has won only two of his four fights since defeating the Briton. He lost on points to Kubrat Pulev for the vacant IBF international title in August 2013 and has also been beaten on scorecards by Carlos Takam for the WBC silver title last year.
However, in between those losses, Thompson twice saw off Odlanier Solis for minor titles in Turkey.
