Klitschko overpowers Peter

Wladimir Klitschko defended his IBF and WBO heavyweight titles with ease in a one-sided encounter against Samuel Peter in Frankfurt.

The Ukrainian, who has been linked with a unification bout against WBA champion David Haye, finally claimed victory in the tenth after unleashing a barrage of punches against the Nigerian.

In a rematch of the 2005 bout which saw Peter floor Klitschko three times before losing on points, Klitschko dominated from the outset, and was on course for a comfortable points victory before flooring his opponent in the tenth.

Peter's eyes were badly swollen after a barrage of punches from his opponent, and it was only a matter of time before Klitschko produced the killer blow.
