Police to question Hatton over cocaine claims

Ricky Hatton is to be investigated by police after allegations of cocaine use.

The former two-weight world champion was admitted into rehab on Monday with 'severe depression' following the allegations in Sunday's News of the World.

Greater Manchester Police said they intended to question the boxer as soon as he had completed his treatment.

A spokesman said: "Police in Trafford are aware of the allegations made against Mr Hatton and are looking into the matter.

"Greater Manchester Police acknowledges that Mr Hatton has voluntarily entered rehabilitation and the force will respect his privacy. Once his rehabilitation has been completed, officers will be speaking to Mr Hatton about the allegations."
