David Haye is unlikely to be sat in front of his TV when Vitali Klitschko defends his WBC title against Shannon Briggs, as he has described the bout as a "pantomime".

WBA heavyweight champion Haye is in final training for his fight with Audley Harrison on November 13, but could be forgiven for casting an eye towards the Ukrainian having failed to strike a deal to fight either him or his brother Vladimir.

However, the clash with Briggs is not setting Haye's pulse racing as he feels it will be an all-too-predictable procession for Klitschko.

"Vitali-Briggs? I won't bother," Haye told the Sun. "Vitali is fighting a 38-year-old guy who is a chronic asthmatic. I anticipate Briggs getting slowly broken down and knocked out.

"For someone with asthma he has shown a lot of heart.

"Briggs turns up, shouts, screams, rips his T-shirt off and dyes his dreadlocks blond. It is pantomime for Germans - but real boxing people know their fight is a waste of time."
