Klitschko camp 'very positive' Haye fight will happen

Wladimir Klitschko's manager Bernd Boente is "very positive" that his charge will take on David Haye in a heavyweight unification battle during 2011.

The bout appeared to be a write-off when Haye turned his sights to a clash with Alexander Povetkin or Ruslan Chagaev - but now it seems that he has revived talks with the Klitschko camp.

Discussions earlier in the year appeared set to yield a July 2 bout before, according to Haye, Klitschko revealed at the last minute that he would defend his WBO and IBF titles against Dereck Chisora on April 30.

Haye went on to comment that he was "done" with the Klitschkos but, having suggested last week that talks were back on, he appears to have completed a U-turn - and the July date looks to be a real possibility.

A potential sticking point comes over the venue - Haye would reportedly prefer to fight in London, while Klitschko wants to take to the ring in front of his fanatical German following.

"I'm very positive, I'm very, very positive that the fight of Vitali or Wladimir against David Haye will happen," Boente told Boxingscene. "I'm very positive it will happen in Europe. I think it should happen in a stadium."
