Gavin targets Khan fight by end of 2011

Frankie Gavin has declared his intention to fight Amir Khan "by the end of the year".
Gavin competes for the WBO Intercontinental welterweight belt on May 21, taking on Young Mutley at the O2 Arena. However, it is a showdown with Khan that demands his focus.
The Brit is yet to lose in nine professional fights, winning eight via stoppage, and he insists he is one of the few fighters who knows how to beat Khan.
"Getting that WBO Intercontinental belt round my waist is all I can think of at the minute as it will gatecrash me into the top 10 world rankings," said Gavin. "There is no way I will be leaving the O2 on May 21 without it.
"I was Britain's first world amateur champion and now I aim to become the quickest Brit to win a world title.
"Khan is a tough fight but I know the way to beat him. Khan is fast, but so am I, and I am the better boxer.
"I want him by the end of the year."
