Steve Bunce: Stakes are high in Vegas

Floyd Mayweather Jnr claims he will be watching a Lady Gaga concert instead of the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley this weekend.

Several pundits, including ESPN's Steve Bunce, have speculated that Pacquiao is aiming to send a message to Mayweather when he puts his WBO welterweight title on the line in Las Vegas. If the Filipino becomes the first man to stop Mosley, then he will have outstripped Mayweather, who claimed a resounding points win over the veteran last year.

But Mayweather insists that Pacquiao is of no interest to him for as long as their dispute over blood testing rumbles on. The two were locked in talks during 2010, but negotiations crumbled when they failed to reach an agreement over the timing of samples.

"All he's doing is fighting my leftovers and he just keeps saying that I'm scared. All I say is this: why are you scared to take the tests?" Mayweather told fighthype.com. "You know what I'm going to be doing on Saturday night? I'm going to be watching Lady Gaga."

Mayweather has not been in action since his fight against Mosley - and he is no hurry to add to his 41-fight unbeaten record. "As of right now, I'm enjoying life and spending quality time with my children," he said. "Whenever Floyd Mayweather wants to get back into the ring, he's going to get back into the ring."
