Wladimir Klitschko has weighed in four pounds lighter than he did for his last fight at 17st 5lbs for the eagerly-awaited heavyweight showdown against David Haye, with the Brit tipping the scales at 15st 3lbs.

The pair came face-to-face for the final time before they meet in the ring on Saturday night at the Imtech Arena, with both men appearing in top shape at the traditional weigh-in.

Klitschko, naturally the bigger man, looked supremely confident as he weighed in 4lbs lighter than when he fought Samuel Peter last September.

However, Haye looked equally assured as he showed off his honed physique in front of a partisan crowd at a shopping centre in Hamburg, and the Brit was delighted with his physical condition.

"I just wanted to be as healthy as possible, that's the first time I've been on the scales in a long time. I wanted to make sure I was eating perfectly, I haven't put one bit of crap in my mouth for six months, I've made sure everything I've eaten has been organic and home grown.

"I've trained as hard as I possibly can do, so my weight is what it is. I'm happy with it; this is my ideal fighting weight."

Haye, the WBA champion, was in typically bullish mood, insisting his opponent is underestimating him.

"He genuinely thinks he can win this fight, genuinely thinks I'm some annoying little Englishman that he thinks he will squash," he said.

"But he's so wrong. The plan has always been from day one to take away his asset, to take away his jab. I've beaten bigger guys than him before and I've shown I can stick to the gameplan. And that's what is going to happen tomorrow night.

"I'm not leaving it to the judges, particularly in Germany, with the support he's got over here. I've got to take him out early."
