Caterham's drivers Giedo van der Garde and Charles Pic believe there is more potential in the updated CT03.

The team introduced its first major update at the Spanish Grand Prix and was able to get one car ahead of Marussia in both qualifying and the race. Despite feeling an improvement with the new parts, van der Garde said there was still more pace to be extracted from the upgrades.

"There is still some scope, absolutely," van der Garde said. "So we have to see what we have to do and how we can fix it because at the moment it is not there completely.

"I think to be honest we will make another step during the season and hopefully it will be as good as this one. But still I think we have to optimise this and then we will have more potential and we will be faster, but the team is pushing hard so that is why I'm very happy with it."

Pic agreed with van der Garde, but said the full extent of the car's potential is still unknown.

"What I know is that for sure the car is not optimised now," he told ESPN. "But then after, I don't know if we optimise it what it will give."
