Welcome to our coverage of Wales' clash with Canada at the Millennium Stadium. The hosts come into the clash on the back of a narrow defeat to South Africa while Canada were outclassed by Ireland.

Warren Gatland's side, in their new yellow kit, will be heavy favourites to get back to winning ways and with the All Blacks coming to town next weekend there is a lot at stake for his side. Is this just a case of damage limitation for Kieran Crowley's Canucks? Or can they produce an unlikely upset? The Bumper crowd here in the Welsh capital are expecting a big win and everything suggests they'll get it but it's not just the result that is important - the performance is the key. Welsh scrum looks in control in early contests. Canada are penalised at the next scrum an Wales take the game to midway inside the visitors' half.

Hook spins out of one tackle but he is penalised for holding on - promising from Wales.

Hook will have a go at the posts - his kick from around 35m is pulled across the face of the posts.

Kicks exchanged, knock on from Sinclair on the halfway line. Not much for this large crowd to sing about so far.

Wales will have the lineout inside the Canada 22, this time they secure the ball, and they keep it tight. The the backline take th elead, Hook and Shanklin look to prise an opening, Rhys Thomas goes close but he is called for not releasing.

Shanklin is down receiving treatment now. Canada take the game to the Welsh 22. Jackson claims, back inside, then down the line, Keys wrapped up, Ryan Jones turns the ball over...

Kicks exchanged, chip and chase from Mark Jones, Hearn tidies up, forwards keep it tight on the touchline. Fairhurst, with a cut on his eye, digs for the ball but the whistle goes again. Wales struggling to hit their stride and full credit to Canada for making them work.

Canada lineout on their own 5m, Wales steal and then set the ball, Hibbard has a go, then Charteris, recycled, worked wide Shanklin with a good pass to Stoddart who dives for the corner - crowd thinks he has scored but we will go to the TMO. Video replay looks like the grounding is OK. Try-time for Wales.

Maybe that score will ease the shaky start the hosts have made. Ryan Jones claims the re-start, Wales clear long, Kleeberger runs it back but is isolated, does well to keep the ball alive, kicks exchanged...

Wales spread the ball from a quick tap penalty, Canada slow it down well, recycled and driven inside. Dafydd Jones penalised for coming in from the side, Canada look to go quickly, Wales snuff it out, Stoddart is bundled into touch with the ball.

Kicks exchaned again, scrappy passage of play, Wales put it through the hands, Shanklin works an opening, Canada penalised, Wales go quickly but the ball is lost. Canada counter up to half way and Wales are caught off-side.

Pritchard is going to have a shot at the posts from the half-way line. And his kick is good - great effort and Canada have the lead again.

Scrum on the Canada 22 has to be re-set, Ryan Jones with a pick and go up the shortside, Canada shut the door, worked back inside, good pass from Biggar but Shanklin tries to get rid of it before he has control of it.

Bishop does well, Stoddart feeds Sowden-Taylor out wide but he runs out of room as Pritchard shuts him down.

Carpenter with the pick and go from the scrum on his own 22, Fairhurst scrambles the ball away, Biggar and then Bishop run it back, Halfpenny in support, shrugs off a tackle and shows good strength to go over in the corner for the try.

And that will be it for the half.

Biggar takes the game downfield - Hibbard with the throw at the lineout, Yapp drives over the 22, Dafydd Jones earns some more hard yards...

Through the hands, Halfpenny floored by Keys but retains the ball. Daffydd Jones has a go up the short side, Rhys Thomas loses the ball and Canada get the ball away.

Lost forward by Canada at the lineout as an official crowd of 59,000 is confirmed. Canada penalised at the scrum and Biggar will look to give the Welsh some breathing room with a shot at the posts.

Deep re-start, Ryan Jones claims, Biggar clears long, Kleeberger runs into a wall of yellow. Wales penalised at the breakdown - referee has a work with both captains to ensure the message gets through.

Canadian scrum under pressure, good flick inside by Fairhurst but Wales soon turnover, safety first from Biggar. Pritchard with the kick and chase return, Biggar safely underneath it.

Kleeberger does wellin the line, chip over the top for Mensah-Coker but Halfpenny reads it well. Stoddart almost away down the touchline, Canada snuff it out but are penalised - Peel goes quickly. Wales flood forward, Powell does well but Gough loses it forward when trying to take a difficult pass on the try line.

More pressure from Wales, forces the knock on and Wales will have the next feed.

Scrum time again, Peel feeds, big drive, Canada penalised and Wales opt for another scrum.

Biggar slots the easy conversion.

Good take from Charteris at the re-start, Biggar sends on high, knocked on by Van Camp. Wales scrum just inside their own half. Backline move, Stoddart joins the line, Wales penalised for going off their feet at the ruck.

Monro puts up a high ball, mid-air collision but Wales come up with the ball. Knock on. Lewis-Roberts on for his debut for Wales.

Peel bangs the ball downfield, Pritchard gets back to cover. Wales soon pressing again, pass to Yapp is forward but back we come for an earlier penalty against Canada.

Welsh scrum dominant again, has to be re-set, and then another penalty against the visitor's pack.

Biggar adds two more points to his personal tally.

Loose pass from Biggar and Smith picks it off and races away to score from 50 - a moment to remember for the Canadian centre.

Wales penalised at the ruck for not rolling away. And Canada will have the throw at the lineout just inside the Welsh half, scrappy, knocked on by Wales and Canada will have the scrum feed.

Yapp named man of the match by the host broadcasters.

Canada pressing as the game comes to an end, chip ahead by Evans, Peel is there to cover in his own 22.
