Aironi have been rocked by the news that Dylan Des Fountain has been ruled out for the rest of the Magners League season through injury.

The South African centre suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in the opening minute of last weekend's defeat by Ulster at the Stadio Zaffanella in Viadana and must now undergo surgery in the coming days.

"We are very sorry about Dylan," Aironi Rugby CEO Franco Tonni said. "With this injury, we lose a player with great qualities, both on and off the field. We are confident Dylan will recover and will be recovered for the end of June, when we will consider his possible return to Aironi."
