Tim Visser has agreed a new two-year deal with Magners League side Edinburgh.

The Dutch winger joined the club in 2009 following a spell in the Premiership with Newcastle and remains his country's sole professional player.

The 23-year-old ended last season as the Magners' top marksman and has now committed his future to Edinburgh until 2013, allowing him to qualify for Scotland on residency grounds.

"The Scotland aspect obviously is one more reason for committing myself to Edinburgh, but the main motivation was staying in a place and a team where I know I will improve," he said.

"When I've completed the residency period, I'd love to be considered, but my overriding focus is doing well with Edinburgh and helping the team achieve."
