Wasps have continued their recruitment drive for next season with the signing of centre Chris Bell from Sale.

The midfielder has agreed a move to Adams Parks on a three-year contract from Wasps' Premiership rivals Sale.

Plymouth-born Bell, 28, starts for the Sharks against Wasps on Sunday, and has previous Premiership experience with Harlequins and Leeds.

His signing follows soon after confirmation that fly-half duo Nicky Robinson and Ryan Davis would be joining the club, from Gloucester and Exeter respectively.

Meanwhile, London Irish have announced new contracts for props Faan Rautenbach and Paulica Ion. Former Springbok Rautenbach has signed a one-year extension, while Romanian international Ion has extended his stay with the club by another two seasons.

They will be joined next term by new prop signing Leo Halavatau, who has agreed a two-year deal to move from Championship club Birmingham & Solihull.
