Rabobank has been confirmed as the new title sponsor of the Celtic League, which has been re-named the RaboDirect Pro12.

The financial services provider has taken over the sponsorship reins from Magners, who have been involved with the competition since 2006.

Munster won the final edition of the Magners League in May, beating Irish rivals Leinster in the Grand Final, with Rabobank signing a four-year deal as new title sponsors.

Munster and Leinster will again contest next year's tournament alongside fellow Irish provinces Ulster and Connacht, Welsh regions Cardiff Blues, Newport Gwent Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets, Scottish pro sides Edinburgh and Glasgow and Italian franchises Aironi and Benetton Treviso.

"Our competition has experienced a huge growth over the last few years and it was time to move it to the next level," league chief John Feehan said. "Our new brand, the Pro12, encapsulates the structure, growth and energy of our competition."
